Key points for diagnosis
(1) Serious disturbance in menstrual cycle,menstruation and menstrual blood, profuse and sudden menses or scanty and dripping menses, or menstruation first profuse and then scanty or dripping, or menstruation scanty and dripping first and then profuse and sudden, or irregular continuous menses, usually no abdominal pain.

(2) Profuse menses or prolonged menses usually accompanied with symptoms of anemia, coma tending to occur in acute profuse uterine bleeding.

(3) Gynecological examination and other supplementary tests show no organic disorder of the appendages.

(4) Diagnostic uterine curettage examination indicates endometrial changes in proliferative phase and excessive endometrial hyperplasia, or poor action of endometrial secretion, or coexistence of residual secretory endometrium and new endometrium in proliferative p.hase.

(5) Uterine bleeding during menstrual cycle should be differentiated from uterine bleeding due to pregnancy, metritis, submucosal myoma of uterus endometriosis, and uterine tumor.

(6) Exclude bleeding caused by hematopathy and disturbance of blood coagulation mechanism.
