Treatment Based on Syndrome Differentiation:
1. Qi-Stagnation and Phlegm-Accumulation Syndrome

3. Syndrome of Yin Deficiency of the Liver and Kidney
Main Symptoms: Bilateral or unilateral breast enlarged as big as that of the woman, with mass under the areola and insidious pain in tough nature, slight tenderness, movable by pushing it, accompanied by dizziness, blurred vision, soreness and weakness in the lower back and knee, dry mouth, dry throat, tidal fever in the afternoon, night perspiration, seminal emission, reddened tongue, scanty or peeled coating, thready and rapid pulse.
Therapeutic Methods: Nourish yin, tonify the kidney, support the liver and dissolve phlegm.

4. Syndrome of Stagnation and Obstruction of Breast Collaterals
Main Symptoms: Breast mass in hard nature, with pricking pain and unmovable condition, frequent distending sensation, stuffy chest, accompanied by purple dark tongue, thin and whitish coating, wiry pulse or thready and hesitant pulse.
Therapeutic Methods: Circulate qi, activate blood, break stasis and disperse accumulation.

Cautions:
It is believed in Western medicine that the occurrence of this disease is related to secretion, regulation and control of the sexual hormones of the human body. Clinically, there are physiological condition and pathological condition in the abnormal development of male breasts. In the teenagers, the occurrence of this disease is mostly secondary to the normal physiological status. Usually, it can disappear by itself without any treatment. For the pathological development of the breast, because some of them are secondary to hepatic diseases, tumors or somehormone-dependent diseases, the related laboratory examinations should be emphasized clinically to confirm diagnosis in order to treat the primary diseases positively.

Besides, clinically the occurrence of this disease is closely related to the intake of large amount of hormone-contained tonic products or to serious emotional fluctuation and over sexuality of the patients.
