Diagnostic Essentials for Seminal Vesiculitis in Chinese medicine:
(1) This disease occurs often in the young and middle-aged adults.
(2) Clinically, sperm mixed with blood after sexual intercourse, masturbation or seminal emission is a main complaint. In acute seizure, sperm is in fresh red color and can be accompanied by frequent, urgent and painful urination, serious pain in the perineum and lower abdomen, painful ejaculation. In chronic attack, sperm is in dark red color or coffee color and is accompanied by frequent, urgent and painful urination, insidious pain and discomfort in the perineum and lumbosacral region, and painful ejaculation.
(3) Tenderness in the region of the seminal vesicle can occur in the rectal touch. In the acute stage, swollen seminal vesicle can be palpated sometimes.
(4) In the routine examination of sperm, large number of erythrocyte can be detected. Pyocyte can be seen in those with acute seizure. Type B ultrasonic examination can show seminal vesiculitis.
In TCM, a disease or a symptom might be caused by one pathogenic factor, even two or three pathogenic factors. When diagnosing a disease or a symptom, TCM doctors must follow the principle of "Syndrome Dfferentiation", and then "Suit the Remedy to the Case". In order to gain a more definite and valuable diagnosis, it's important and necessary for the doctor to learn the detailed health information of the patient, including his/her disease duration, age, sex, height, weight, family history, urine, stool, diet, sleep, sweat, energy, mood (emotion), as well as the tongue conditions and the palm conditions, etc. If you would want our expert to create a TCM diagnosis, you're welcome to contact us.
