INGREDIENTS
Arnebia root, Radix Arnebiae seu Lithospermi 15g
Mung bean, Semen Phaseoli Radiati 30g
White sugar a spoonful
PROCESS: First, decoct the arnebia roots in water to get the first extract; decoct the mung beans in the first extract of the arnebia roots; take it away from the fire after it has boiled for about three minutes over a low fire and before the mung beans have split open; filter out the extract and leave the mung beans and a bit of the extract in the pot. Put the second extract of the arnebia roots into the pot with the mung beans; cook the mung beans until they are thoroughly done (if the extract is insufficient, just add some water). Take it away from the fire at the time when about 500 ml of extract is left.
DIRECTIONS: Add a bit of white sugar into the extract of the arnebia roots and the mung beans, which is to be taken in two portions; add a spoonful of white sugar into the soup with the thoroughly cooked mung beans and take it as light refreshments. This recipe has a certain effect of preventing chorionic epithelioma in women.
