INGREDIENTS
Coix seed, Semen Coicis (Yiyiren) 20g
Polished glutinous rice or polished round-grained rice,
Semen Oryzae Glutinosae seu Sativae 30g
White sugar half a spoonful
PROCESS: Put the coix seeds and rice together into a small aluminium pan and add about 1000 ml of cold water;cook them over a moderate fire for about half an hour. Move the pan away from the fire and put in the sugar.
DIRECTIONS: Take it once a day, as breakfast or light refreshments.Taking this kind of gruel can exert very ideal effect of preventing malignant change of gastric ulcer; for gastrointestinal cancer which has already come on and been excised, taking this kind of gruel can also reduce the possibilities of a relapse.
