CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: Every 100g of the edible part of a crucian carp contains 13g of protein, 1.1g of fat, 0.1g of carbohydrate, 54mg of calcium, 203mg of phosphorus, 2.5mg of iron, 0.06mg of thiamine, 0.07mg of ovoflavin and 2.4mg of nicotinic acid.
NATURE, FLAVOR AND CHANNEL TROPISM: Sweet in flavor and neutral in nature, acting on the channels of the spleen, stomach and large intestine.
EFFICIENCIES AND INDICATIONS: Strengthening the spleen and inducing diuresis. It is used for treatment of Enlarged Spleen, poor appetite, Lumbago, dysentery, hemafecia due to Peptic Ulcer, hydrops, stranguria, Carbuncle and Edema, and ulcer.
DIRECTIONS: To be boiled in clear soup or steamed, fried, made into medicated diet, used as an ingredient of boluses, pills or powder. It can be pounded for external application.
