    Health Consultation Description: During a urinalysis i was noted to have a bld level of 10mg/ul and a protein level of 30mg/dl . Is this cause of concern of kidney disease or anything else? I have had frequent urination but with no discomfort. I have no abd pain , back pain, flank pain or noted fever. Mild fatigue. The only medications i am on is loryna birth control and advair for my asthma. During my first visit with a urologist she checked for possible cervical cyst during a pelvic exam and that was negative. She sent me to have a kidney ultrasound done there are no resta yet.

    I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.

    Having bld level of 10 mg/ul and protein level of 30 mg/dl in your urine is indicative for urinary tract infection (UTI) with slight damages to the function of your kidney. This is not worrisome, but is indicating that you have been having UTI for long time, but it was not treated until now.

    Abdominal (kidney) ultrasound result is needed to see if any changes in the structure of your kidney and if stones/sludge is present.

    Once again, it is not worrisome, but need proper treatment with:
    - prescription antibiotics
    - herbal supplement for UTI (containing uva-ursi, cranberry, fern stone, etc.)
