Is endometriosis closely connected with infertility?

Health Consultation Description: Hello, I have a 2 cm ovarian cyst on my right ovary. My doctor suspects it is an endometria cyst. I am going in to have it removed on the 22nd. I am worried I have endometriosis and won t be able to get pregnant. I have read that cysts usually mean that the endo is usually advanced. Is this true? I don t have any symptoms of the endo except spotting right before my period.
