Any medical suggestion for treating pleural effusion? Health Consultation Description: Hi, I was told in September my cancer has spread to my lungs. I am currently trying to qualify for a trial and either way I will start treatment on November 10th. I have access to my medical records on line and last night they posted the results of my latest chest xray. It mentions new lesions and pleural effusion. I have a call into my doctor but so far he has not called back. From what I have read on line it is fluid build up in my lungs. Has anyone else experienced this? I am trying not to freak out but I am very concerned. Any advise would be appreciated.
