An inflamed, irritated or clogged gallbladder can make you feel sluggish and tired, even when you first wake up in the morning. Take 3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice in half a glass of warm water, a half-hour before breakfast. Try this for one week and see if there's a difference in your morning energy level. Lemon juice is known to stimulate and cleanse the gallbladder.
The most popular folk remedy for the gallbladder is black radish. Juice the radish either with a juice extractor or by grating the radish and squeezing it through cheesecloth. Take 1 to 2 tablespoons of black radish juice before each meal. Do it for two weeks or more. Your digestion should improve and so should the condition of your gallbladder.
If you have had gallbladder surgery, you may help the healing process by drinking peppermint tea-1 cup one hour after eating each of the two biggest meals of the day. Menthol, the active ingredient in peppermint, gives the liver and gallbladder a workout by stimulating bile secretion.
