Yao Bao are the buds of the highest quality Puer tea leaves. They are made from the unopened buds of the leaves. Its brew leaves a delicate bouquet of aromas. Its taste is very unusual, there is no inherent bitterness, but has Puer's enveloping viscosity with a delicate aftertaste. Medicinal properties
Yao Bao has a special effect on skin cells, slowing down the ageing process. Due to the high content of vitamins, amino acids and pectin, it rejuvenates the body. So, by consuming Yao Bao tea buds every day, it is said you can extend your youth and save your beauty.
Brewing
1. Perfect for brewing in a gaiwan, flask or earthernware pot.
2. Pour boiling water over teaware to cleanse it and warm it up.
3. Put 5-7 grams of tea leaves per 100-120 ml of water.
4. Pour water over the buds (75-85 degrees). This water temperature can be achieved simply by opening the lid and waiting 30 seconds. The first brew should be around 15-20 seconds.
5. The first brew should be discarded as it is merely designed to wash the leaves.
6. The second steep can be made after a few seconds to around 20 seconds, depending on one's taste. (The shorter the brewing time, the more steeps the tea can endure). This tea can be brewed up to 5-6 times.
