    120.2×58cm．Ge Hong(281-341),styled Zhichuan,also called himself Baopuzi(the Master who Holds to Simplicity)．A native of J u—tong,Danyang(now in Jiangsu Province),he was a Taoist,philosopher,physician and alchemist of the Jin Dynasty．He compiled,in addition to philosophical works,Emergency Remedies Ready to Ha lid (Zhou hou bei jifang),and Formulas Kept in the Golden Casket(Jin kui yao lve),making important contributions to ancient chemistry and medicine．(Collection of Museum for History of Medicine,Shanghai University of TCM)
