[Location] Localized in the erect sitting position or with the head rested on a table on the side, or in the lateral recumbent position. On the temple area, in the depression anterior to the supra-tragus notch and posterior to the border of the condyolid process of the mandible. (Fig.22)
 
[Regional Anatomy] Skin→subcutaneous tissue→parotid. The distribution of the auriculotemporal nerve, and the prior auricular ramus of the superficial temporal artery and vein, and the temporal branch of the facial nerve.
