Pomt: Baihui (GV 20)

Technique: Prepare 9.8 g of castor beans, 2 g of gallnuts. Clean the shell of gallnuts first, grind them into powder and then filter the powder. Add the plump and the white castor beans into the powder  and pound them into paste. preparing the paste into a medicinal cake  that is 3 cm in diameter, 1 cm in thickness and 10 g in weight. This is one dose for the adult. When it is applied on Baihui (GV 20) on the patient, the hair of the hairy area as big as the medicinal cake over  Baihui (GV 20) should be shaved. Place the medicinal cake on Baihui (GV 20), put on a hard paper ring that is 3 cm in diameter around the  cake, and fix the cake with the gauge and the elastic bandage. Fill the  saline bottle with boiling water and then put it on top of the medicinal cake, performing the treatment once in the morning, once at moon, and once in the evening and carrying out 15 minutes application each time. The temperature should be regulated to the extend that the skin would not be burnt. The medicinal cake should be changed once every two days. Six days successive application make up one course. One day's break should be taken between two treatment courses.
