1) Apple Cider Vinegar Natural Home Remedy
For the last twenty years I have gotten an average of 2 or 3 fever blisters a year.  I have a couple of remedies that I have found work for me.  Fever blister home remedy numero uno is apple cider vinegar.  Most people have heard about ACV as a remedy these days but if you have not, then the simple path is to drink one or two tablespoons of pure raw organic unfiltered apples cider vinegar stirred into a glass of water.  Do this every day on an empty stomach.  If I do this regularly I don’t get even one fever blister.  Since this does demand some discipline, there have been periods when I have not taken my ACV and sure enough the blister return.  My other fever blister treatment isto use grapefruit seed extract.  I like the product Nutribiotic as it is something that I have used to remedy other maladies in the last ten years. 

I have only recently found out that it can be used for fever blisters.  At any point in the development of the blister, put a drop of GSE on the tip of your finger and dab it on the blister.  It will bring it to an abrupt halt.  I even use it when only the pre-blister tingling is present.  My experience with this is total victory every time.  GSE is quite strong and when you are using it for other things it needs to be diluted.  You won’t need to use more than a drop of straight stuff on your blister.  Maybe two max.  Don’t repeat for several hours.  I usually never have to repeat.  I hope this gives you as much relief as it has for me!

Lemon Balm

2) Ice
One of the best home remedies for treating fever blisters is ice.  Ever hour, rub ice over the affected area for a few minutes.  Be sure not to leave ice directly on the skin for too long, as this can cause frostbite.
 
3) Preparation H
The very second I see or feel the onset of a fever blister, I apply Preparation-H.It will shrink them, the same as does a hemorrhoid. They normaly will not get any bigger. I also take L-Lysine everyday. A medical doctor told a friend of mine about Prep.-H years ago, and it does work.
 
4) Tea Bag Cure
A cold tea bag pressed against the blister once an hour can prove to be a very effective home remedy for fever blisters.  You can also use a warm tea bag on the blisters and leave it on for about thirty minutes.
 
5) Lemon Balm
If you have a weakened immune system, it will take you a bit longer to recover from a fever blister.  You may also experience a more severe outbreak with the fever blisters.  However, there are effective home remedies to treat fever blisters.  You can try using lemon balm extract.  This can be applied directly to the fever blister to naturally help reduce its appearance and can help speed the healing process.  Another great home remedy for fever blisters is witch hazel.  This can be applied directly to the blisters to aid with healing.  Also, you can dip a moist index finger into some powdered salt.  Press the salt onto the blister for approximately 30 seconds.  This helps to dry the blister quickly and helps it to heal faster.  Aloe vera is also a great home remedy for fever blisters.
 
6) Sunscreen Preventative
If you are prone to fever blisters, it is wise to limit your exposure to the sun and other bright lights.  Use a quality sunscreen with a high SPF if you plan to spend a lot of time in the sun.  This is a great treatment for preventing fever blisters.
