Syndrome differentiation and treatment

1. Syndrome of Ocular Invasion of Pathogenic Wind and Heat
Main Symptoms and Signs: Redness, swelling and pain of the affected part with projection, profuse tears, headache, aversion to cold and fever; thin yellowish
tongue coating and floating rapid pulse.
Therapeutic Method: Dispelling pathogenic wind and heat to remove swelling and mass.

2. Syndrome of Excess of Toxic Heat
Main Symptoms and Signs: Redness, swelling and unbearable pain of the affected part with hard tender projection which spreads along the lid and down the cheek, feverish body, vexation, thirst, preferring to drink and constipation; reddish tongue with dry yellowish coating and full rapid pulse.
Therapeutic Method: Removing toxic heat to resolve swelling and mass.

3. Syndrome of Asthenia of Health Qi and Retention of Pathogenic Qi
Main Symptoms and Signs: Frequent onsets of the affected part with slight redness and swelling, a little tenderness, no diabrosis or diabrosis difficult to heal, small amount of pus which is constantly flowing, a whitish pale complexion, mental tiredness and fatigue; pale tongue with thin coating and weak pulse.
Therapeutic Method: Dispelling pathogenic factor with toxin-eliminating manipulation.
