1. Syndrome of Qi and Blood Stagnation
Main Symptoms and Signs: Abrupt onset after a period of bad mood or a violent rage, sudden diminishment of vision, boundary cloudiness of the optic disc, gray whitish opacity of the posterior pole of retina with retinal ateries becoming obviously slender, cherry-red points in macula and accompanied by the general symptoms of dizziness, bitter taste in the mouth and distending pain in the chest; thready or unsmooth pulse.
2. Syndrome of Turbid-phlegm Attack on Eye
Main Symptoms and Signs: Besides the same ocular symptoms as the above, the accompanied symptoms and signs include dizziness with carebaria, fat stature, chest distress, poor appetite and nausea; greasy tongue coating and thready slippery pulse.
3. Syndrome of Endogenous Wind of Liver
Main Symptoms and Signs: Easy attack of hypetension patients with the same ocular symptoms as the above, accompanied by the general symptoms and signs of dizziness, headache, flushed face, tinnitus, being choleric and irritable and bitter taste in the mouth; reddish tongue with thin yellowish coating.
