Taeniasis, an intestinal parasitic disease, is caused by the parasitism of the adult of tapeworm inside the small intestine of the human body. Taeniasis suis and taeniasis bovis are respectively caused by the parasitism of the adult of pork tapeworm and the adult of Taenia saginata inside the small intestine. The disease in clinic mainly manifests mild symptoms of gastrointestinal tract and excretion of white teniform segments in stool.The parasitism of the larvae of tapeworms inside the human body is termed as cysticercosis which in clinic mainly manifests the occurrence of nodes due to invasion of bladder worms into the subcutaneous tissue, or the onset of epilepsy, headache, etc. due to the invasion of bladder worms into the brain. The onset is related to dietary habits, mainly distributing in areas of animal husbandry. Children are less susceptible to the disease than adults. The incidence rises with the increase of age.
