There are four therapy methods that are commonly used to treat Tuberculous Pleuritis.
1. Phlegm-heat invading the mind.
Manifestations: faint state of mind, agitation, cough with yellow phlegm, gurgling with sputum, flushing, red tongue coating.

2. Phlegm-heat blocking
Manifestations: faint state of mind, irritability, flushing, gurgling with sputum, yellow thick sputum, yellow greasy coating.

3. Phlegm blocking the mind
Manifestations:  faint state of mind, trismus, shortness of breath, gurgling with sputum, dark and purple coating.
Therapy methods: increse the flow of phlegm

4. Phlegm Stagnation
Manifestations: faint state of mind, shortness of breath, palpitation, swellings of limbs, less urine, white coating.
Therapy methods: warming heart yang, increse the flow of phlegm.
