ORIGIN: The ripe fruit of Prunus persica or P. davidiana [Rosaceae].
CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: In every 100g of the edible part of the fruit, there are 0.8g of protein, 0. 1g of fat, 7g of carbohydrate, 8mg of calcium, 20mg of phosphorus, 1mg of iron, 0.01mg of carotene, 0.01mg of thiamine, 0.02mg of ovoflavin, 0.7mg of nicotinic acid, 6mg of ascorbic acid; there are also essential oil and some organic acids such as malic acid and citric acid. Among the sugars it contains glucose, fructose, sucrose and xylose.
NATURES, FLAVOR AND CHANNEL TROPISM: Sweet, sour in flavor and warm in nature, acting on the channels of the intestines and stomach.
