CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: Containing glucose, fructose, a little sucrose, xylose, tartaric acid, oxalic acid, citric acid, malic acid and mono-glucoside and di-glucoside of various kinds of anthocyanidin. In every 100g of grape, there are 0. 2g of protein, 4mg of calcium, 15mg of phosphorus, 0.6mg of iron, 0.04mg of carotene, 0.04mg of thiamine, 0.01mg of ovoflavin, 0.1mg of nicotinic acid, 4mg of vitamin C.
NATURE, FLAVOR AND CHANNEL TROPISM: Sweet, sour in flavor and neutral in nature, acting on the channels of the lung, spleen and kidney.
EFFICIENCIES AND INDICATIONS: Invigorating qi and enriching the blood, strengthening the bones and muscles, and inducing diureses. It is used as a cure for deficiency of qi and blood, cough due to deficiency of the lung, Premature Heart Beat, Myocardiopathy, nightsweat, arthralgia due to wind-dampness, stranguria and Edema.
DIRECTIONS: Eat it raw; soak it in wine, or decoct it for oral administration; or extract its juice for drinking. Excessive eating will result in interior heat or diarrhea.
