INGREDIENTS
Longan aril, Arillus Longan 15g
Jujube, Fructus Ziziphi Jujubae 3 to 5
Polished round-grained rice, Semen Oryzae Sativae 60g
PROCESS: Have the rice washed clean, longan arils and jujubes washed off mud and sand; cook them together to make gruel.
DIRECTIONS: Take such gruel once in the morning and once in the evening.
EFFICACY: Nourishing the heart, tranquilizing the mind, strengthening the spleen and recuperating the blood.
INDICATIONS: Palpitation, Insomnia, forgetfulness and Anemia caused by deficiency of the heart-blood; diarrhea, dropsy and constitutional frailty due to deficiency of the spleen; Neurasthenia, spontaneous sweating and night sweating.
PRECAUTIONS: The amount to be used should not be too great. It should be taken hot; prohibited to take such gruel are those who have common cold due to affection by pathogenic wind and cold, marked by fever and chills or thick and greasy fur on the tongue.
