Regulating the flow of Qi, resolving phlegm, clearing away heat in the gallbladder, promoting the function of the stomach.
Indications
Syndrome due to incoordination between the gallbladder and stomach and disturbance of phlegm-heat in the interior, marked by vexation of deficiency type, Insomnia, or vomiting, hiccup, dizziness, fullness in the chest, palpitation, nervousness, yellowish, greasy tongue coating, and slippery rapid or taut rapid pulse; including such diseases with the above symptoms as peptic ulcer, Meniere's Disease, Hypertension, cerebral arteriosclerosis, psychoneurosis, climacteric syndrome and coronary arteriosclerotic cardiopathy.

Rhizoma Pinelliae (Banxia) 6 g,
Zhu Ru (Caulis Bambusae in Taeniam) 6 g,
Caulis Bambusae (Zhuru) 6 g,
Citrus aurantium (Chenpi) 9 g,
Zhi Gan Cao (Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata) 3 g,
Poria (Fuling) 5 g,
Rhizoma Zingiberis (Shengjiang) 3 g,
Fructus Jujubae (Dazao) 1 dates.
Explanation
Ban Xia: The principal drug, checking upward adverse flow of Qi, regulating the stomach, removing dampness, resolving phlegm.
Zhu Ru: Clearing away heat, resolving phlegm, relieving vomiting, reducing dysphoria.
Zhi Shi: Promoting the flow of Qi, eliminating phlegm.
Chen Pi: Regulating the flow of Qi, removing dampness, resolving phlegm.
Fu Ling: Strengthening the spleen and inducing diuresis to aid in eliminating phlegm.
Sheng Jiang, Da Zao and Zhi Gan Cao: Replenishing the spleen, regulating the stomach, tempering the actions of all the other ingredients.
Administration
Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
