    From Mogaoku Grotto no.477,Dunhuang．At the center,seated in the lotus position,is the Buddha of Medicine (Bhaisajya-guru- vaidurya-prabhasa)．This Buddha is in charge of a paradise,the Pure Crystal Realm of the Eastern Region．He has sworn 1 2 VOWS to save all sentient beings from illness．And to cure all unidentifiable chronic diseases．He is accompanied on each side by four bodhisattvas.
