(1) Drug Therapy
1) Internal Medicine:
Syndrome of Accumulation of Heat in the Lung and Stomach
Therapeutic Methods:Depurate the lung and stomach, clear away fire and dissolve toxin.
Formula:Modified "Pipa Qing Fei Drink"
Syndrome of Accumulation of Phlegm and Blood Stasis
Therapeutic Methods:Activate blood and regulate qi; dissipate phlegm and soften the hard.
Modified "Haizao Yu Hu Decoction"
2) External Medicine:
Smearing Method: Apply "Pi Zhi Washing Water" or "Dian Dao Powder Washing Water" on the effected area externally, 2 - 3 times a day.
(2) Acupuncture Therapy
Process: Select the acupoints of Dazhui, Pishu (BL20), Zusanli (ST 36), Hegu (LI 4), and Sanyinjiao (SP6), etc. Take uniform reforming and reducing method and keep the needles retained for 30 minutes after prick for qi. Take once a day and 7 times is a course of treatment.
(3) Massage
Main acupoints: Hegu (LI 4), Quchi (LI 11), Neiting (ST44), Dazhui, Quanliao (SI 18), Yangbai.
Modification: For Lung channel wind-heat, shaoshang and chize are added; for spleen-stomach dampness-heat, Zusanli, Sanyinjiao and Yanglingquan are added; for thoroughfare-controlling disharmony, Xuehai, Geshu and Sanyinjiao are added.
The patients keep sitting and finger-knead the Quanliao and Yangbai separately until the sensation of sour bloated is gained. Each point is for 1 minute.
(4) Measles scratching
The patients keep sitting and scrape the Hegu (LI 4), Quchi (LI 11), Neiting (ST44), and Dazhui etc. Each point is for 1 minute.
(5) Cupping Therapy
The patients keep pronated. Taking cupping on the Dazhui and Geshu with fire-flashing method separately and the cup is sucked in place for 10 minutes.
