Thoroughfare vessel starts from the urinary bladder (uterus, ovary) as conception vessel, which means three vessels from the same origination. It starts from testis in men then emerges from the urinary bladder and connects with kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin, forking two branches from here, the first branch runs backward with kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin and ascends along abdomen side of spine, it is distributed in kidney and abdomen side of spine. The second branch runs forward with kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin and ascends along kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin which is at both sides of conception vessel to chest then its embranchment is distributed in chest, its main trunk runs upward along both sides of trachea and is distributed in throat then ascends from throat, runs upward around mandible and is distributed in oral lips.

Another branch descends along medial side of thigh, passes medial aspect of popliteal fossa and tibia to posterior medial malleolus then runs obliquely to sole of foot, lower embranchment which is at medial malleolus goes from dorsum of foot to hallux toe. This branch belongs to line of kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin.

Belt vessel starts between the second and the third lumbar vertebrae and absorbs vessel qi of divergent collateral of kidney meridian of foot-shaoyin. Forking two branches from lumbar vertebrae, each branch runs forward around abdomen and crosses at umbilical part then runs around waist as waist belt. It is the only annular meridian passageway in human body.
