[Location] Localized in the supine position and with the crura extended, or in the erect sitting position and with the knee flexed. When the knee is flexed, on the anterior aspect of the thigh, on the line connecting the anterior superior iliac spine and the superior lateral border of the patella, 2 cun above the patella. [Regional Anatomy] Skin→Subcutaneous tissue→between the rectus femoris' tendon and the externus femoris→the lateral of the middle femoris' tendon. Superficial layer, the prior cutaneous branches of the femoral nerve, and the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve; deep layer, the branches of the lateral circumflex femoral artery and vein, the muscular branches of the femoral nerve.
