Acupuncture Point Dahe (KI12)
Location:
Supine position; firstly locate ZhongjiCV3(Zhongji (CV3) Front-Mu Point of the Bladder) ( 1 cun vertically above the upper border of pubic symphysis on linea alba), 0.5 cun lateral to ZhongjiCV3(CV3).
Function:
Tonifying qi of the kidney, and regulating the lower-jiao.
Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-anterior sheath of rectus muscle of abdomen-superior and lateral border of pyramidal muscle-rectus muscle of abdomen.
In the superficial layer, there are the branches or tributaries of the superficial epigastric artery and vein. the anterior cutaneous branches of the anterior branches of the 11th and 12th thoracic and 1st lumbar nervea and the accompanying arteries and veins. In tne deep layer, there are the branches or tributaries of the inferior epigadtric artery and vein, the muscular branches of the anterior branches of the 11th and 12th thoracic nerves and related intercostal arteries and veins.
Indications:
Spermatorrhea, leukorrhea, and spermoneuralgia.
Prescription:
Combined use with Zusanli (ST 36) He-Sea Point) for treatment of hysteroptosis; and with Sanyinjiao (SP6)for treatment of urocystitis.
Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly, 1-1.5 cun deep; needling response: local numbness and distension, radiating downwards; moxibustion: using 3-5 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 10 min.

Dahe (KI12) its related organs include the small intestine and the
sigmoid colon in the abdominal cavity.
