Acupuncture Point Yingu (KI10)            
Location:
Upright sitting with flexed knees; at the medial end of the popliteal transverse stria, between tendons of semimenbranous muscle and semitendinous muscle.

Function:
Regulating menstruation, reducing diuress, relieving abdominal distension and fullness, and regulating lower-jiao.

Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-between tendon of semimembranous muscle and semitendinous muscle-medial head of gastrocnemius muscle.
In the superficial layer, there are the posterior cutaneous nerve to the thigh and the subcutaneous vein. In the deep layer, there are the branches or tributaries of the superior medial genicular artery and vein.

Indications:
Pain in the medial side of the thigh, gonitis, distension in the lower abdomen, urinary tract infection, sexual impotence, painful penis, vaginitis, vulvitis, pruritus vulvae, metrorrhagia.

Prescription:
Combined use with Acupuncture Single Point Guanyuan Front-Mu Point of the SmallIntestine) for treatment of endometrial inflammation; with JiuweiCV15 (Jiuwei (CV15) Luo-Connecting Point) for treatment of epilepsy; with DadunLR1 (Dadun (LR1) Jing-Well Point), Acupuncture Single Point Jimen, Weizhong (BL 40) He-Sea Point, Lower Confluent Point), and Weiyang (BL 39) Lower Confluent Point) for the treatment of dysuria; with Taixi (KI3) Shu-Stream, Yuan-Source Point), Shenshu (BL23),Acupuncture Single Point Qihai, PangguangshuBL28 (Pangguangshu (BL28)), and Acupuncture Single Point Guanyuan for treatment of dark urine.

Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly, 1-1.5 cun deep; needling response: local numbness and distension; moxibustion: using 3-5 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 10 min.
