Acupuncture Point Dadun (LR1)
Location:
Extend one`s foot; at meeting the point of the line along the lateral border and the line along the base of the nail of great toe.

Function:
Regulating flow of qi and menstruation, inducing resuscitation and treating stranguria.

Regional Anatomy:
Skin-subcutaneous tissue-root of nail.
There are the lateral dorsal nerve of the great toe from the deep peroneal nerve and the dorsal digital artery and vein in this area.

Indications:
Hernia, enuresis, uterine bleeding, prolapse of the uterus, Epilepsy.

Prescription:
Combined use with Huiyang (BL35) for treatment of prostatitis; with Acupuncture Single Point Dazhui for treatment of epilepsy; with Neiguan (PC6) Luo-Connecting Point the Eight Confluent Point) for treatment of somnolence; with Sanyinjiao (SP6), Guanyuanshu (BL 26) Front-Mu Point of the SmallIntestine) and Acupuncture Single Point Baihui for treatment of infantile nocturia; and with Zhaohai (KI 6) The Eihgt Confluent Point) for treatment of hernia.

Methods:
Insert the needle perpendicularly to 0.1-0.2 cun depth; needling response: local sensation of distention and pain; moxibustion: using 3-7 moxa-cones, or mild moxibustion for 7 min.
