(1) Acupuncture and Bleeding Method

Points: Renzhong (GV 26), 12 Jing-well points, Fengfu (GV 16), Fengchi (GB20), Baihui (GV 20), Neiguan (PC6), Daling (PC7), Hegu(LI 4), Laogong (PC8), Zusanli (ST36), Yongquan (KI 1) and Taichong (LR 3)

 

Technique: At first, the filiform needles are taken to puncture Renzhong (GV 26), Neiguan (PC6) and Yongquan (KI1), then the three-edged needle is used to prick the Jing-well points to let out blood. If the effect is not remarkable, other points should be needled. This method is applicable for the tense syndrome of wind stroke.

 

(2) Electric Acupuncture Combined with Moxibustion

Points: Baihui (GV 20), Jianyu (LI 15), Quchi (LI 11), Shousanli(LI 10), Hegu (LI 4), Ganshu (BL18), Yanglingquan (GB34), Zusanli (ST 36), Juegu (GB39), Taixi (KI3), Sanyinjiao (SP6) and Taichong(LR 3)

 

Technique: At the beginning, three to five moxa cones are applied respectively on Baihui (GV 20), Ganshu (BL 18), then the points on the affected side are punctured with filiform needles. The electric stimulator is connected to the filiform needles and the continuous wave used. Each treatment lasts 30 minutes and one course consists of 10 sessions.
