Selecting the Tender Points in Spleen Meridian

Points: The tender points on about one finger width above Sanyinjiao (SP6), about 0.5 cun above or below Diji (SP8) and about 0.5 to 1 cun above and below Yinlingquan (SP9).

 

Technique: The patient lies in a supine position. Reducing needling is given once or twice a day for severe cases. The needles are retained for 30 to 60 minutes and reducing manipulation is applied once every 10 minutes. The method is effective for acute and chronic dysentery.
