Schizophrenia in TCM

Schizophrenia
is the most commonly encountered psychonosema, characterized usually by thought and perception disorder, depersonalization, and disharmony between psycho motility and environment. Its incidence is about 0.3 %-0.8%, higher in urban area than in rural area, and slightly higher in late spring and early summer, with a roughly equal ratio between males and females. It is estimated that about 2 million people suffer from this very harmful disease in the world every year.
