Chinese medicine Treatment for Epidemic Keratoconjunctivitis

Syndrome differentiation and treatment
In clinic, the disease is usually classified into the syndromes of initial affection of epidemic and noxious pathogenic factors, excessive fire of the liver and gallbladder, and lingering pannus due to latent pathogenic factors. Since the disease arises from the meridians of the liver and lung or from lung involving liver, treatment should focus on removing pathogenic heat from the lung and liver simultaneously. And, according to the severity of the two involved organs, treatment should mainly be put on removing pathogenic heat either from the liver or from the lung.
