Scleritis in TCM
When using Chinese herbal medicine, our TCM experts will customize the herbal prescription to meet the specific needs of your condition. A variety of single herbs are commonly added or subtracted to maximize the clinical effectiveness of the treatment. Up to now we have treated 2227 cases of scleritis by our Chinese medicine. We have had 94% cure rate for the treatment.
Scleritis
, an inflammation of superficial tissues overlaying the sclera, is a sort of recurrent, transient, self-limited and often nonspecific ophthalmopathy. It is common among the middle-aged people, of whom women are more than men. In clinic, the disease mainly manifests the symptom of local or diffuse dark-red prominence of the outermost layer of the sclera. The pathogenic change of the disease usually appears in the part between the corneal limbus of the anterior equator and the attachment line of the ocular rectus. The case may start either monocularly or binocularly with a favorable prognosis.
