Key points for diagnosis
(1) The patient feels his pharyngolarynx is obstructed by an object. This is the main symptom. Inside the pharyngolarynx there eixsts foreign object sensation like the plum pit, or meat ball or cotton fibre, or parasite disturbance, or hairs, or phlegm obstruction which cannot easily expectorated and swallowed. But it does not affect the patient's feeding.

(2) The severity of pharyngolaryngeal foreign object sensation is related to emotional changes.

(3) Examination shows normal Conditions of all parts of the pharyngolarynx. No abnormal phenomenon can be discovered if the barium swallow fluoroscopy is per-
formed.
