Essentials for diagnosis
(1)The disease mostly has incubation period and the patient may have the history of contact with patients of varicella 2 to 3 weeks before the onset.
(2) At the early stage, the patient has low fever, nasal discharge, cough, poor appetite, etc.
(3) Skin rashes appear with 1 to 2 day (s) while red maculopapules occur on the head, face, hairline and other parts of the body, with more number on the trunk and less on the limbs.
(4)After the onset skin rashes quickly develop into herpeses with different sizes, which contain liquid internally. The liquid is full and in most cases lucid. Areolae exist around the herpeses. The skin is itching. Afterwards, the herpeses scab and no scars are left after decrustation.
(6)Skin rashes appear in batches. Pimples, herpeses and dry crusts exist spontaneously in most cases.
In TCM, a disease or a symptom might be caused by one pathogenic factor, even two or three pathogenic factors. When diagnosing a disease or a symptom, TCM doctors must follow the principle of "Syndrome Dfferentiation", and then "Suit the Remedy to the Case". In order to gain a more definite and valuable diagnosis, it's important and necessary for the doctor to learn the detailed health information of the patient, including his/her disease duration, age, sex, height, weight, family history, urine, stool, diet, sleep, sweat, energy, mood (emotion), as well as the tongue conditions and the palm conditions, etc. If you would want our expert to create a TCM diagnosis, you're welcome to contact us.
