TCM believes sexual precocity mainly involves the kidney and liver, and that in most cases, is caused by diseases or misuse of certain drugs that results in stagnation of the liver transforming into fire or' hyperactive renal fire due to yin deficiency. According to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, there are some patterns of syndrome that lead to sexual precocity.
1. Yin deficiency of the kidney
2. Stagnation of the liver transforming into fire

Our TCM clinical practice has showed that integration of Chinese medicine and western medicine is a very good choice for this disease. When treating sexual precocity, Chinese doctors will take everything into consideration, including the following conditons.
1. The brain starts the process. Part of the brain makes a hormone called gonadotropin-releasing hormone (Gn-RH).
2. The pituitary gland releases more hormones. Gn-RH causes the pituitary gland -- a small bean-shaped gland at the base of your brain -- to release two more hormones. The hormones are called luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).
3. Sex hormones are produced. LH and FSH cause the ovaries to produce hormones involved in the growth and development of female sexual characteristics (estrogen) and the testicles to produce hormones responsible for the growth and development of male sexual characteristics (testosterone).
4. Physical changes occur. The production of estrogen and testosterone causes the physical changes of puberty.
