TCM Diagnosis for Oily Skin

What is cellulite? You may ask. If you look at the dictionary, it is defined as fatty bulges found in the arms, abdomen, or thighs. Cellulite is composed purely of body toxins. Pinch your thigh. If you see your skin forming dimples that resembles an orange peel or cottage cheese, be prepared for the bad news. Sadly, you have them. Under those dimples is the detested cellulite. Cellulite can be observed in women and in teens, although it is much more common to those whose ages are above 20 years old. Men may develop cellulites too, but it won’t be too apparent on them. This is because they have thicker skin. But even if cellulites don’t show in men as much as in women, they are still at the risk of developing them. As a general rule, the places where cellulites form are in the abdominal area, thighs, buttocks, and arms.

A lot of people think that cellulites and obesity are one and the same. However they aren’t. The fact that thin women may have cellulite is a proof that the condition isn’t exclusive to fat women. So if anybody asks you, what is cellulite? Try not to think of a fat woman having bulges in her arms - because as much as you might not want to admit it, you might have it too. There are many reasons why cellulites form and hormonal changes is usually the culprit. Hormones could stop or influence cellulite formation. As such, women who are in the puberty stage, menopause, or pregnancy are more prone to developing them. Cellulites may either be hidden from view or prominent. Either way, you have to do what it takes to eliminate them from your body simply because they are not healthy.

Fungus are contagious and spread from human to human and animal to human. Contact with infected people or animals should be avoided and good hygiene practiced. Unsterilized barber tools should be avoided, and clothing should not be exchanged. Patients with athlete’s foot should avoid group showers, wear protective slippers, and bathe their feet frequently.
