As a rule, warts are small infections that appear on the surface of the skin. A wart usually forms a small bump on the skin, although some types are flush with the surface of the skin. Warts may be found alone, but can also be spread or clustered over an area of skin. Warts can range in color from white or pale yellow to pink or brown. Often wart symptoms will include a cauliflower appearance, with small clumps of white on them. Also look for tiny black spots, known as "wart seeds" or "capillary loops", which are actually little clotted blood vessels. Symptoms and signs of Wart in TCM include:
1. Syndrome of Accumulation of Heat-Toxins
Main Symptoms: Red or reddish papule in large number, accompanied by vexation, dry mouth, constipation, brown urine, red tongue, yellowish coating and rapid pulse.
2. Syndrome of Dryness in Blood and Stasis in Collaterals
Main Symptoms: Many tough and coarse papule, crack, loose and withered like bud, gray and white color or brown color, dry red tongue with scanty fluid, whitish coating or scanty coating, and hesitant pulse.
