Chief Manifestations: Lingering fever, emaciation, short breath, lassitude of limbs, abdominal pain, diarrhea, yellow and thin stools sometimes with pus and blood, tensemus, nausea, vomiting, white and greasy tongue coating, and soft-superficial, thready pulse.
3. Excessive Heat and Phlegm Causing Coma
Chief Manifestations: Fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, coma or restlessness and delirium, stiff neck, convulsion, or dementia, or epileptoid seizure, yellow and greasy tongue coating, thready and rapid pulse or smooth and rapid pulse.
4. Deficiency of Spleen Yang and Kidney Yang
Chief Manifestations: Fever or lingering low fever, emaciation, lassitude, palpitation, short breath, dizziness, soreness and pain of loins and knees, impaired appetite, nausea, frequent hiccup, frequent diarrhea or morning diarrhea, continuous abdominal pain, cold body and limbs, spontaneous sweating, night sweating, lusterless hair and complexion, pale nails, rash, pruritus, or thrush, deep thready pulse or thready rapid pulse, pale swollen tongue or with petechia, thin and white coating or with white patches.
