INGREDIENTS
Chinese yam, Rhizoma Dioscoreae (Shanyao) 15g
Black sesame seed, Semen Sesami Nigrum 120g
Rose paste, Pasta Rosae Rugosae 6g
Fresh milk, Lac Bovis 200g
Crystal sugar 120g
Polished round-grained rice, Semen Oryzae Sativae 60g
PROCESS: Have the rice washed clean, soaked in clean water for an hour, take it out and filter the water out; cut the Chinese yam into small pellets and roast the black sesame seeds until they send out fragrance. Put the Chinese yam and black sesame seeds into a basin; add water and fresh milk, have them mixed thoroughly and ground into a mash, then, filter out the fine extract for later use. Put clean water and crystal sugar into a pot; after the crystal sugar has dissolved and been filtered, heat it until it boils; pour the extract of the sesame slowly into the pot, put in the rose paste; stir constantly to make it a paste. Ladle it out from the pot after it's done.
DIRECTIONS: Take it as much as you like.
EFFICACY: Tonifying yin, replenishing the kidney, nourishing the spleen and moistening the intestines.
INDICATIONS: Symptoms due to deficiency of the liver and the kidney or asthenia after an illness, such as Constipatoin, early greying of hair, etc. For middle-aged and old people, it can strengthen the constitution and prolong life if they take it often and frequently.
