INGREDIENTS
Ginseng, Radix Ginseng (Renshen) 120g
Juice of rehmannia root, Succus Radicis Rehmanniae 800g
White Poria (Fuling) 245g
Bee Honey (Fengmi) 500g
PROCESS: Grind ginseng and poria into fine powder; pound rehmannia roots to obtain the juice (not in a copper or an iron ware); filter the honey with a piece of thin, tough silk. Mix the four ingredients thoroughly and put the mixture into a china jar; cover the jar tight with 20 t0 30 layers of clean paper. Put clean water into a large aluminium pan, then, put the medicinal jar into the aluminium pan and heat it, first, over a strong fire, then, over a low fire, for three days and nights. Take the jar out, seal it with wax. And soak it in water for 10 days to get rid of the fire-toxin. After that, put it back into the original aluminium pan and boil it for one day and one night.
DIRECTIONS: Take a spoonful at a time, once in the morning and once in the evening, on an empty stomach.
EFFICACY: Replenishing qi, blood and essence, promoting generation of marrow.
INDICATIONS It can be used as ordinary food for improving the health of the middle-aged and the old.
