Pericarpium Citri Tangerinae (Jupi)
Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis (Houpo)
Zhi Gan Cao
Rhizoma Zingiberis (Shengjiang)
Hong Zao
Rhizoma Atractylodis (Cangzhu)
Explanation
Da Zao: Tonifying qi, tonifying the spleen, nourishing blood and inducing

tranquilization.

Sheng Jiang: Being pungent in taste and warm in nature, dispersing accumulation of

pathogens, regulating the stomach to arrest vomiting.

Hou Po: Inducing Qi to flow downward and relieving distention.

Zhi Gan Cao: Invigorating the spleen and stomach, tempering the actions of all the

other ingredients.

Ju Pi: Regulating the flow of Qi and the function of the stomach, checking upward

adverse flow of Qi to arrest vomiting.

Cang Zhu: Dry dampness and invigorate spleen, dispelling wind-dampness, releasing

exterior.
