Removing hear from the stomach and blood

Indications
Syndrome due to accumulated heat in the stomach and flaring-up of the stomach-fire,

marked by headache induced by toothache, hotness in the cheeks, teeth averse to heat

but preferable for cold, or ulceration of gums, or gingival atrophy with bleeding, or

swelling and pain in the lips, tongue and cheeks, or hot foul breath, dry mouth and

tongue, reddened tongue with yellowish coating, and slippery full rapid pulse;

including such diseases with the above symptoms as prosopalgia, Stomatitis,

periodontitis, chronic gastritis, etc.

Ingredients
Radix Rehmanniae (Shengdihuang) 12 g,
?Dang Gui (Radix Angelicae Sinensis) 6 g,
Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui) 9 g,
Rhizoma Coptidis (Huanglian) 4.5 g,
Rhizorna Cimicifugae (Shengma) 6 g.

Explanation
Huang Lian: The principal drug, being bitter in flavor and cold in nature, removing

accumulated heat in the stomach.

Sheng Di: Removing heat from the blood, nourishing Yin.

Dan Pi: Removing heat from the blood to clear away heat pathogens.

Dang Gui: Nourishing and regulating the blood.

Sheng Ma: Dispersing fire pathogen to detoxicate.

Administration
Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice (Taken originally in the form of

powder)
