Indications
Qi-stagnancy and phlegm-accumulation due to incoordination between the liver and the spleen, marked by fixed goiter as hard as stone and with normal skin in the neck; including such disorders with the above symptoms and signs as cervical carcinoma, thyroid adenoma and thyroid enlargement.

Chen Pi (Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae) 3 g,

Fructus Forsythiae (Lianqiao) 3 g,
Bulbus Fritillariae (Beimu) 3 g,
Radix Angelicae Sinensis (Danggui) 3 g,
Chuanxiong (Rhizoma Chuanxiong) 3 g,
Duhuo (Radix Angelicae Pubescentis) 3 g,
Radix Glycyrrhizae (Gancao) 3 g,
Hai Dai (kelp) 1.5 g.
Explanation
Hai Zao, Kun Bu and Hai Dai: The principal drugs, being salty in flavor and cold in nature, resolving phlegm and softening masses.
Qing Pi and Chen Pi: Soothing the liver and activating the activity of Qi.
Dang Gui, Chuan Xiong and Du Huo: Promoting the circulation of blood to clear the channels so as to help dispel goiter.
Bei Mu and Lian Qiao: Dispelling masses and subduing swelling.
Gan Cao: Tempering the actions of all the other ingredients.
Administration
Decocted in water for oral dose to be taken twice.
