This is a pyogenic disease of the skin with multiple lesions and repeated relapses. The infection may last for a long time with new lesions repeatedly appearing after the old lesions have healed. In traditional Chinese medicine, the furuncles occurring along the posterior hairline are called Faji Chuang (hairline sores) and those over the buttocks are called Zuoban Chuang (ischial sores). This disease is most common in young people. The pyogenic infection of single hair follicles and sweat glands in modern medicine is the same disease and can be treated by the following methods.
