Dialogue on the Essentials of Pharmacy
Danxi Xian sheng yao yao huo wen (The Master of Cinnabar Brook's Dialogue on the Essentials of Pharmacy), an unpublished book in 2 juan by Zhao Liangren, a physician of the Ming Dynasty. Also known as Yide and Yunju, Zhao was a native of Jiangpu in present Jiangsu province. He was a disciple of Zhu Zhenheng. Because he felt that Zhu's Essentials of Pharmacy (Danxi yao yao) was overly brief, he expanded upon Zhu's ideas in dialogue form, adding his own case records. Only 128 sections survive in this unique manuscript. (By courtesy of Shi Changyong.)
