Drug Therapy
1) Internal Medicine
(1) Deficiency of the Spleen qi
Therapeutic Methods: To invigorate the spleen and promote qi, remove dampness and relieve diarrhea.
Prescription: Modified Shenling Baizhu Powder
(2) Deficiency of the Kidney-yang
Therapeutic Methods: To warm the spleen and kidney, induce astringency and relieve diarrhea.
Prescription: Modified Sishen Wan.
(3) Disharmony between the liver and the spleen
Therapeutic Methods: To soothe the liver and strengthen the spleen, regulate qi and activate blood.
Prescription: Modified Tongxie Yaofang.
(4) Deficiency of the Qi and Blood
Therapeutic Methods: Nourish qi and blood, remove stagnation and relieve diarrhea.
Prescription: Modified Buqi Shengxue Tang
(5) Blood stasis in the Intestinal vessels:
Therapeutic Methods: To activate blood and remove stasis, regulate intestine and vessels.
Prescription: Modified Shaofu Zhuyu Tang
2) External Medicine
a. Get 5 pieces of scallion stalk ,pound and fry them until they are hot; apply the paste on the Shenque in the middle of the navel; then fix it with the gauze; change the paste once a day.
b. Get 50g of the garlic, pound and fry them until they are hot; apply the paste on the Shenque in the middle of the navel; then fix it with the gauze; change the paste once a day.
c. Get moderate garlic and pound them into paste; apply it to Yongquan in the sole; change the paste once a day.
Massage Therapy
1) Points selected: Pishu (BL20), Weishu (BL21), Dachangshu (BL25), Xiaochangshu (BL27), Tianshu (ST25) and Zusanli (ST 36)
2) Manipulation: Place the thumbs on the points on the both sides of the lumbar spinal cord respectively; press from the Pishu coordinating with breathing; press when exhaling and reduce the strength when inhaling; handlers press the Tianshu on both sides slowly with the middle ginger pulp when the patients lying supine for 2-3 seconds; rest for 2 seconds and go on pressing; take this manipulation for 5 minutes.
(3) Measles scratching
1) Points selected: Points selected: Pishu (BL20), Weishu (BL21), Dachangshu, Xiaochangshu, Zhongwan, Tianshu, Neiguan (PC6), Shousanli (LI 10), Zusanli, Shangjuxu (ST 37) and Xiajuxu (ST39).
2) Manipulation: Keep an angle of 45 degree between the scraping board and the skin; scrape the points from up to bottom; it is applicable to clear away heat and remove dampness, regulate qi and blood and remove stagnation; take reducing method is taken on the points of Tianshu, Shangjuxu and Xiajuxu; gent reinforcing method is taken on the points of Pishu, Weishu, Dachangshu, Xiaochangshu, Zhongwan and Zusanli; scrape the selected area repeatedly until reddish rashes on the skin scraped could be seen.
(4) Cupping Therapy
1) Points selected: Back spinal cord, the first inside line of the bladder meridians, Shenque, Tianshu, Guanyuan and the skin around navel.
2) Manipulation: Keep a position of lying prostrate and let the back exposing to the full; take cupping on the Pishu, Shenshu, Mingmen for 15 minutes along the spinal cord on both sides and the bladder meridians; keep a position of lying supine, take flashing cupping on the Shenque, Tianshu and Guanyuan; keep the cups sucked in place for 10-15 minutes; take it every another day and 10 times for a course of treatment.
