Point: Shanzhong (Ren 17)

Technique: A No.29 frliform needle, 1.5 cun long, is inserted from Shanzhong (Ren 17), subcutaneously straight down to Zhongting (Ren 16) and rotated for several seconds. The reducing technique is applied to produce a dispersed needling sensation. The needle is retained for 15 minutes. When asthma is relieved, the needle will be fixed with a plaster and embedded for two to five days. Generally, the needle-embedding method is applied once every seven days, and three treatments make up one course. The treatment is good for chronic asthma and effective for persistent non-curing cases.
